Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring proficiency with Impella, IABP, CRRT, and ECMO in a hospital setting.
Details
- Work in the Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) of an acute care hospital
- Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- Patients include post open heart surgery (day 2 care) and complex cardiovascular cases requiring advanced hemodynamic support
- Proficiency with specialized equipment required: Impella, IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump), CRRT, and ECMO
Requirements
- Active OK RN license or a current multistate compact (eNLC) RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — AHA-issued certifications only accepted
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Hands-on experience with Impella, balloon pump (IABP), and heart recovery required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include managing assigned patient caseloads, monitoring physiological data, administering medications and IV infusions, and coordinating patient care with multidisciplinary teams
- Provides patient and family education regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge planning
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- After a total of 26 weeks (including any extension), travelers must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for another contract at this facility
