Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Aurora, CO, requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care OR experience and active CO or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Position is based in the OR of a main hospital campus in Aurora, CO
- 11-OR suite with a staff of 53 nurses and technicians
- Patient ratio is 2:1
- Procedures performed include general OR surgeries, Neuro/Spine, CVT, Ortho, GYN, and Robotics
- EMR system is Meditech; prior experience preferred
- Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- On-call requirements include 1–2 nights per week and 1–2 weekend call shifts per month
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital OR RN experience required
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
- One professional reference required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- Prior Meditech experience is preferred
- Candidates with charge nurse experience will be given priority consideration by the director
- Precepting experience is preferred
- Ideal candidates are flexible, easygoing, and possess strong communication skills
