Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-risk Labor & Delivery position at an acute care teaching hospital, requiring Epic/Excellian proficiency and a minimum of 2 years of L&D experience.
Details
- High-risk Labor & Delivery unit in an acute care, Magnet-designated teaching hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- Day and night shifts available, both 3x12-hour schedules (days: 7:00–19:30, nights: 19:00–7:30)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required within scope, including to postpartum
- Charting via Epic (Excellian); experience required
- Procedures performed include C-sections/births, post-partum tubal ligations (PPTL), D&C, cerclage placement and removal, and waterbirths
Requirements
- Active MN RN license required; pending license accepted
- Current certifications: BLS and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- High-risk L&D experience required
- Epic/Excellian EMR experience required
- 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Candidates who have previously worked at this health system as permanent staff or per diem must have been gone for at least 3 months from their last shift worked
- Scrubs are provided by the unit
- Pre-start online modules are required prior to the first day of the assignment
- RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days for the duration of the contract
- Floating may occur within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
