Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a Non-Invasive Cardiology unit, requiring active RDCS or RCS certification and at least 1 year of echocardiography experience.
Details
- Non-Invasive Cardiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Performs a variety of diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction
- 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM, with variable scheduling Monday through Saturday
- Includes on-call rotation and Saturday coverage
- EMR: Epic (charting)
Requirements
- Active RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in echocardiography/cardiac sonography
- Current AHA BLS certification required; must not expire prior to start
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
- License required if applicable
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis
- Responsibilities include patient preparation, protocol selection, image quality review, and documentation of findings for physician partners
- Monitors equipment reliability, maintains work environment, and manages supply inventory
- Participates in quality initiatives related to patient satisfaction, care, and workflow
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, but 1 year of specialty experience is required
