Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week assignment requiring a minimum of 2 years of cardiac imaging experience and current RCS/RCIS/RCDS/ARDMS certification.

Details

• 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call required 1–2 nights per week with a weekend rotation including call and PRN availability
• Performs imaging on a patient population ranging from neonatal through geriatric
• Studies are performed in the lab, at bedside, and in the ICU, ED, and OR settings
• 40 hours per week

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in both basic and advanced cardiac imaging procedures in a US hospital
• Current RCS, RCIS, RCDS, or ARDMS certification required
• ARRT certification required
• Current RDCS or RCVT certification required
• Active state/district license required (no pending licenses); license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Associate's Degree or equivalent required, including completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program
• Experience with echocardiography ultrasound systems and all transducers, including transesophageal, arterial, and vascular ultrasound required
• Pediatric experience is highly desirable
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
• US Social Security Number required
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months; at least one reference should be from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Performs routine and advanced cardiac imaging studies for both inpatients and outpatients, along with associated clerical duties
• CPI certification is mandated for this position
• BLS certification must be from AHA only
