Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a DC RN license, at least 2 years of L&D experience, and NRP certification for a night shift contract.
Details
- 9-week contract with 36 hours per week
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts per week
- On-call requirement of one shift per week
- Labor & Delivery unit serving females of childbearing age, including patients at 17+ weeks gestation, laboring patients, scheduled procedures (C-sections, external cephalic versions), and triage cases
- Unit activity includes admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and vaginal and cesarean deliveries
- Common equipment includes fetal monitors
- Cerner and Fetalink used for documentation
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS (AHA only), NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience in a US hospital required
- LDRP experience and labor with postpartum (PP) experience preferred
- US Social Security Number required
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not accepted
- CPI certification is mandated for this position
- All certifications must be AHA-issued
