Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong circulating skills and 4-5 years of OR experience, including ortho, spine, and neuro cases, for a 13-week hospital contract.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Specializes in complex surgical cases including orthopedic, spine, neuro, vascular, and robotic (da Vinci) procedures
• Circulating is required; scrub experience is highly preferred
• 10-hour rotating shifts at 40 hours per week
• Variable start times: 7:00 AM, 9:30 AM, or 1:00 PM based on unit need
• Rotating weekends and holiday coverage required
• On-call required, with a minimum of 1 weekend per month; 30-minute report time required
• No block scheduling
• Floating may be required to other departments, units, or facilities within 30 miles of the assigned facility

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 4-5 years of OR RN or combined OR experience required
• Circulating experience required; must be able to perform independently (checklist verification required)
• Experience in orthopedic, spine, and neuro surgeries required, performed independently
• Scrub experience highly preferred, especially in complex neuro, spine, vascular, and orthopedic cases
• Comfort with da Vinci robotic cases preferred

Additional Information

• Candidate will be included in the unit's regular staff rotation for additional hours as needed to ensure coverage
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• COVID vaccine required; medical and religious exemptions accepted
• Time-off requests must be kept to a minimum and must be approved prior to assignment confirmation
• First-time travelers are not mentioned as eligible; 4-5 years of OR experience is a firm requirement
