Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level III NICU position at an acute care teaching hospital, requiring NRP certification and a minimum of 3 years of NICU experience.

Details

• Level III NICU at an acute care teaching hospital with 244 staffed beds
• Cares for preterm neonates as young as 22-23 weeks gestation and other high-risk newborns
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Respiratory support modalities in use include HFNC, BCPAP, Drager Ventilation, HFOV, and Jet Ventilators; Total Body Cooling is also performed in the unit
• NICU nurses are expected to attend deliveries for preterm or high-risk patients
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call required
• Floating may be required to Pediatrics, Mother/Baby, or another facility's NICU
• Charting via Epic
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand (pending licensure not accepted)
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Transfers to a Level IV facility are made for surgical cases, ECMO, or certain specialty services not available on-site
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Main Line Health location should be prepared to provide location and dates of prior employment
• Former permanent employees must wait at least 6 months before being considered for a position
• RTO requests are subject to manager's discretion
