Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (CT/XR) with at least 1 year of experience and dual ARRT certification in Radiography and CT for a 13-week travel assignment in Alaska.

Details

• Hospital-based radiology department performing both CT and general radiographic imaging
• Patient population spans all age groups across the life span
• Performs radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation
• On-call requirement with a mandatory response time of 20 minutes
• Monday through Friday mid/evening shift schedule
• Rotation of shifts may be required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and CT required
• Current BLS/BCLS required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of a CT/XR training program required
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the life span
• Must be able to respond to call within 20 minutes
• Flu vaccine required
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations within the department and other areas of the facility
• Responsible for exercising professional judgment and applying principles of radiation protection during all procedures
• Maintain patient records and files, and support the departmental quality assurance program
• Transfer patients to and from the radiology department as needed
• Must be able to work effectively in high-stress situations
• Employees work with patients and staff of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds
• Fingerprint card processing is required prior to start — candidates should schedule a fingerprinting appointment and mail cards promptly upon acceptance, as the start date will be no earlier than 6 weeks after fingerprint cards are received for processing
