Description
American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (CT/XR) with at least 1 year of experience and dual ARRT certification in Radiography and CT for a 13-week travel assignment in Alaska.
Details
- Hospital-based radiology department performing both CT and general radiographic imaging
- Patient population spans all age groups across the life span
- Performs radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation
- On-call requirement with a mandatory response time of 20 minutes
- Monday through Friday mid/evening shift schedule
- Rotation of shifts may be required
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and CT required
- Current BLS/BCLS required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of a CT/XR training program required
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the life span
- Must be able to respond to call within 20 minutes
- Flu vaccine required
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations within the department and other areas of the facility
- Responsible for exercising professional judgment and applying principles of radiation protection during all procedures
- Maintain patient records and files, and support the departmental quality assurance program
- Transfer patients to and from the radiology department as needed
- Must be able to work effectively in high-stress situations
- Employees work with patients and staff of diverse cultural and religious backgrounds
- Fingerprint card processing is required prior to start — candidates should schedule a fingerprinting appointment and mail cards promptly upon acceptance, as the start date will be no earlier than 6 weeks after fingerprint cards are received for processing
