Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist (Angiographer) with at least 1 year of vascular or interventional experience for a travel assignment in Murray, UT.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Procedures include stroke intervention, embolization, biopsy, and complex IR procedures
- 4x10-hour day shifts per week; days may vary
- On-call is required, with weekend obligation limited to on-call coverage
- 40 hours per week
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of vascular or interventional radiology experience required
- ARRT(R)(RT) with angiography experience, ARRT(R)(VI), or vascular/interventional radiography certification required
- Active Utah Radiologic Technologist license required (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required; must not expire prior to assignment start
- ACLS preferred
- HS diploma or GED required
- A personal radiation dosimeter badge is required for this assignment; candidates are encouraged to bring an existing badge from a prior employer or assignment
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, producing quality diagnostic images, completing thorough documentation, and maintaining the work area and supply inventory
- Provides procedural assistance as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring technologist per Angio lab policies and Scope of Practice
- May apply closure devices, suture sheaths in place, or remove sheaths and apply pressure to achieve hemostasis at procedure conclusion
- Provides patient education and ensures patient comfort throughout the care process
- Must be able to lift, transfer, and transport patients and supplies, including heavy items, and stand for extended periods
- Candidates who have previously worked as permanent staff at any facility in this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
