Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position requiring 2+ years of experience, ACLS, and night shift availability.
Details
- Medical-Surgical unit (5S) in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), weekdays and weekends
- Patient ratio of 1:5-7
- 13-week contract with possibility of extension
- Charting via Cerner EMR
- Blocked schedule requests cannot be guaranteed, but the unit will make best efforts to accommodate travelers
Requirements
- Active WV or compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience is not required
- Driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration
- Two manager or charge nurse references (within the past year) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care on a busy Medical-Surgical unit
- Attendance reliability is strongly emphasized — candidates should be aware that the facility has a low tolerance for call-offs during the contract
- Scrubs are not provided; candidates must supply their own
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
