Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level III NICU experience for a day shift travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Denver, CO.

Details

  • Inpatient respiratory care department within an acute care hospital in Denver, CO
  • NICU and pediatric patient population, with both neonatal and adult respiratory care cases
  • Equipment includes G5, Servo, Avea, HFOV, Jet, V60, and V30 ventilators specific to patient population
  • EMR system is Meditech; prior experience preferred
  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active RRT license and certification required; license required if applicable
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in the area of placement
  • Minimum 1 year of current acute care NICU RRT hospital experience
  • Level III NICU experience required
  • Pediatric experience required
  • PICU experience preferred
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment start)
  • NRP must be current and from the American Academy of Pediatrics for RRTs caring for neonates
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • One professional reference required

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include airway management, ventilator management, and ED support
  • Critical care experience is a plus, as the department supports both adult and neonatal/pediatric populations
  • Prior Meditech EMR experience is preferred
