Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Oncology Clinic (Radiation Therapy) position requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience and an active OK or compact RN license.
Details
- Full-time position in a hospital-based Radiation Therapy / Oncology Clinic unit
- Day shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Proficiency in nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include administering medications, initiating and monitoring IV infusions and blood products, obtaining and monitoring physiological data, and assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions, treatment changes, and physician orders
- Communicates care plans and hospital procedures to patients and families, including at time of discharge
- Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to reapply, with a maximum of one contract extension allowed (26 weeks total)
- Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screening, background checks, and medical requirements) must begin immediately upon offer acceptance
- Date of birth (DOB) is required for consideration
