Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care, Magnet-designated hospital serving Alaska Native and complex inpatient/ER populations.
Details
- Acute care, Magnet-designated hospital with 152 staffed beds
- CT department serves both inpatient and outpatient populations, with the majority of cases coming from inpatient and the ER
- Complex patient population with significant social history considerations, requiring cultural sensitivity to the Alaska Native community
- Procedures include abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, CT arthrography, myelography, CTAs, multiplanar reconstruction, and biopsies/drainages
- GE equipment; Cerner EMR (Toshiba and PACS experience preferred)
- 3x12-hour day shifts, Thursday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- On-call is required
- No floating to other units or sister facilities
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- Current BLS and ARRT (CT) certification required; license required if applicable
- Experience in trauma, angiography, ED, inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings (e.g., biopsies and drainages)
- Proficiency with IV starts and contrast administration
- Pending licenses are not accepted — active credentials required at time of consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
Additional Information
- Preferred experience includes Level I trauma, NICU/PICU settings, brain perfusion, aspirations, and drainage procedures
- Cerner EMR charting; Toshiba equipment experience and PACS proficiency are preferred
- Cultural competency and sensitivity to the Alaska Native population is an important aspect of this role
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- No RTO restrictions
- Scrubs may be any color or pattern
- Complimentary parking is available in the facility's parking structure

Anchorage is a unique city surrounded by 5,000-foot-high peaks in the south-central part of Alaska along the Cook Inlet, where abundant salmon and whales swim through.
