Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of CT experience, ARRT (CT) certification, and California CRT licensure.
Details
- Acute care hospital CT department with 2 scanner rooms
- Studies include brain, abdomen, pelvis, spine, extremities, angiography, biopsies, drainage procedures, and cryoablation
- Average of 85–100 scans per day
- Equipment includes Canon 16-slice and Canon 80-slice CT scanners
- Charting via Cerner; imaging via Radnet and Merge PACS
- 4x10-hour day shifts with first-float expectation
- No weekend requirements
- Holiday coverage required for 1 major and 1 minor holiday
- No on-call or standby required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience
- Active ARRT and ARRT (CT) specialty certification required — no pending certifications accepted
- California CRT license required; license required if applicable
- Active BLS certification required
- Fluoroscopy permit required
- Active driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Orientation is conducted by the lead technologist or a senior CT tech
- In-house radiologist available during days; on-call radiologist available after hours
- IV placement is not required — nursing staff handle IVs as needed
- Teal scrubs required
- Traveler is responsible for providing their own film/radiology badge
- Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year are not eligible for this position; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
