Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring chemotherapy certification and a CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Oncology unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours weekly)
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
• May be required to take on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses EPIC charting system

Requirements

• Active RN license in Colorado (Standard or Compact) required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required, must not expire prior to start date
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for the unit or service
• Chemotherapy certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Oncology required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted nursing practice standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment to support patient recovery and well-being
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate through consultation, delegation, supervision, and teaching of other staff
• Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
