Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with 2+ years of hospital experience for a weekend inpatient rehab position in Richmond, VA.
Details
- Inpatient rehab unit located within the main hospital building in Richmond, VA
- 44-bed rehab unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
- Unit team consists of 10 OT/PT teams, 3 speech therapists, and 1 tech
- Procedures include manual therapy for neuro re-ed, therapeutic exercise, functional activity, neuromuscular re-ed, self-care, and functional e-stim
- Equipment includes Sara Lifts, ceiling lifts, Bioness, and Diego systems
- Documentation via Meditech Expanse
- Saturday and Sunday shifts, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
- May float to the acute hospital if rehab census is low
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital and inpatient rehab experience required
- Experience with stroke evaluation and treatment required
- Active PT license required if applicable
- Must have active experience within the last 6 months in the PT role
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Facility holds Joint Commission Stroke Certification
- Candidates must use AIDET communication framework and immediate service recovery practices
- Preferred scrub attire is black scrub bottoms with a royal blue top
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
