Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care, Level I Trauma facility, performing CT scans on 12-hour night shifts using a Siemens Somatom Xcite scanner and Epic EMR.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with a Level I Trauma designation
• Single-scanner CT department performing routine CTs, trauma, and stroke studies
• Average of 10–25 scans per day
• Uses Epic EMR and Fuji Synapse PACS
• Primary equipment is the Siemens Somatom Xcite (new platform)
• 12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday through Wednesday with additional shifts available
• Holiday coverage is required
• No call or standby requirement
• No floating to other departments

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience
• Active BLS certification (AHA)
• Active ARRT (CT) certification — pending certifications will not be accepted
• Active state or compact (NLC) licensure — pending licenses will not be accepted; license required if applicable
• Strong computer skills with the ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and communicate effectively
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility — a copy of your driver's license is required for consideration
• 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Additional Information

• Performs routine CT scans, trauma imaging, and stroke protocols
• 2-day department-specific orientation; candidates must be on-site for the orientation week even if initial modules are completed remotely
• A radiation dosimetry badge (Rad Badge) must be provided prior to starting the assignment
• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
• Professional scrub colors are acceptable; scrubs are not provided
• No radiologist is on-site; no IV starts required
