Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Technologist for a night shift position at an academic community hospital in Danville, VA, requiring at least 1 year of CT experience and ARRT certification.

Details

• Located in the Radiology department on the 2nd floor of a 250-bed academic community hospital (census typically runs 100–110)
• Patient population is primarily adult and geriatric, with pediatric cases being uncommon
• Common diagnoses and cases include PE, stroke, kidney stones, appendicitis, chest pain, abdominal pain, and MVA trauma
• Equipment includes GE VCT 64-slice and GE Brightspeed 16-slice CT scanners
• EMR system is Meditech
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Weekend hours are variable, filling in when regular staff is off
• No call requirements
• No float requirements
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of CT technologist experience
• ARRT certification required
• AHA BLS (CPR) certification required
• Proficiency in CT tasks and critical thinking skills
• License required if applicable
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Facility is an accredited Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center, accredited by the ACC and American College of Surgeons' Commission on Cancer
• Facility services include comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour ED, home health and hospice, advanced wound healing, cardiac rehab, 2 cath labs, and medical and radiation oncology
• Candidates must consent to random drug screening; screenings are completed on site
• A Criminal Questionnaire/Consent Form must be completed prior to start
• All required certifications must be in hand prior to start date
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible
• Any color scrubs are acceptable; jeans and leggings are not permitted
