Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of 2 years of OR experience.
Details
- Operating Room (OR) setting within an acute care hospital environment
- Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week
- On-call required as needed
- Block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience required
Additional Information
- Assess patients to determine physical, mental, and spiritual needs prior to surgical procedures
- Develops and implements individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Provides patient and family education and instructions related to care and procedures
- Applies clinical judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition
- Maintains complete and accurate medical records
- Participates in continuing education as required
- Part of a large non-profit health system recognized nationally for cancer, cardiac, stroke, bariatric, breast imaging, and rehabilitation services
