Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 26-bed step-down unit in Elizabethtown, KY, requiring BLS and ACLS certifications.

Details

• 26-bed all-private-room step-down unit serving patients stepping down from the ICU
• Patient population includes GI bleed, COVID, respiratory distress, and other telemetry-monitored conditions
• All patients are on continuous telemetry heart monitoring
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4–5:1
• Critical drips are utilized on this unit
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Previous nursing experience preferred, though not required
• Candidates must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, patient and family education, and facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Delegates and monitors patient care tasks among team members in accordance with scope of practice
• Actively participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
• Collaborates across interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and optimize patient outcomes
