Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Oncology RN for a day-shift hospital position requiring Epic proficiency and specialized oncology nursing skills including port access and central line blood draws.
Details
- Works in a hospital-based oncology unit
- Patient population includes adult medical oncology (GI, GU, breast, head and neck, neuro, thoracic, lymphoma, leukemia), GYN oncology, and classic hematology (sickle cell, anemia, factor 8, ITP)
- Procedures performed include bone marrow biopsy, GYN Onc procedures (Pap smears, biopsy, colposcopy, pelvic exams), port access, central line blood draws, Neupogen administration, hormonal therapy, and colostomy care
- Day shift: 5x7.5-hour shifts, 8:00–16:00
- 37.5 hours per week
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience required
- Proficiency with port access, central line blood draws, Neupogen, hormonal therapy, and colostomy care required
- Epic EMR experience required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two current professional references required
Additional Information
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Former RWJBH health system staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
