Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position requiring at least one year of CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting.

Details

• Position is located in a hospital-based Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (Cardio PICU)
• Day shift schedule, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 40 hours per week
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (standard Oklahoma or eNLC compact) currently in hand
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of one year of CVICU nursing experience required
• CVICU experience in a Level I trauma setting required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and collaborating with physicians
• Interacts with patients and families to communicate care plans and hospital procedures throughout the stay and at discharge
• Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (prior travelers may only extend once, for a total of 26 weeks)
• Compliance with onboarding requirements (drug screening, background checks, medical requirements) must begin immediately upon acceptance of an offer — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
