Description

American Traveler is seeking an inpatient Respiratory Therapist with 5+ years of Level I trauma experience for a 13-week night shift contract at an acute care hospital in Boston, MA.

Details

• Inpatient setting at a Level I trauma facility in Boston, MA
• Experience with MICU and SICU critical care patient populations required
• Participation on Code Blue team
• Familiarity with lung protective ventilation strategies required
• Preferred experience with Level III NICU
• Preferred experience with Dräger XL and V500 ventilators
• Epic EMR experience required
• 12-hour PM/night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Candidates whose permanent residence is within 30 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of recent experience in a Level I trauma facility
• Recent critical care experience in both MICU and SICU
• RRT certification required
• Active MA Respiratory Care license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS required
• NPS and/or ACCS preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references on file: at least one must be manager-level or above (title must be listed as 'Manager'), and at least one must be from within the past 12 months; the second may be from within the past 3 years; references from other travelers are not accepted

Additional Information

• Make independent ventilator decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory results
• Participate on the Code Blue team as part of the critical care response
• One reference from a prior temporary or travel assignment is preferred
