Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring cardiac medication competency and an active OH or Compact RN license.
Details
- Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
- Cardiac patient population requiring telemetry monitoring
- Telemetry experience and knowledge of heart rhythms required
Requirements
- Active OH or Compact RN license required (must show active status in Nursys)
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Demonstrated competency with cardiac medications including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Cardene, Dobutamine, Lasix, and Bumex, including titration
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of heart rhythms
- Ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient status, including signs and symptoms of stroke
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Current Med/Surg Telemetry skills checklist (within the past year) required for consideration

- RTO requests are limited to no more than 5 days for the duration of the contract
