Description
American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week travel contract in a Non-Invasive Cardiology unit, requiring RDCS or RCS certification and at least 1 year of echo experience.
Details
- Non-Invasive Cardiology unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Performs a variety of diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams under physician direction
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Saturday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Saturday shifts may be full or half day based on hospital needs)
- On-call shifts every 4 weeks, including holiday call coverage
- Epic EMR used for charting
Requirements
- RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) or RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
- Active AHA BLS certification required; must not expire prior to assignment start
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in echocardiography/cardiac sonography required
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- License required if applicable
- DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis
- Reviews patient history, selects appropriate protocols, positions patients, and ensures quality diagnostic imaging
- Coordinates preparation of images and documentation for physician review
- Monitors equipment reliability and safety, reports issues, and maintains supply inventory
- Participates in quality initiatives related to patient satisfaction, care, and workflow
- Transports patients as needed
- Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
