Description

American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and pediatric outpatient experience for a 13-week outpatient assignment treating infants through adolescents.

Details

• Outpatient SLP setting with a pediatric focus, serving infants, pediatric, and adolescent patients
• Approximately 9 patient visits per day
• Specializes in Autism, birth defects, developmental delays, and language disorders
• Documentation systems include Wellsky and Epic
• Schedule options: 4x10s (Mon, Tue, Thu 7:30am–6:00pm; Fri 7:30am–5:00pm) or 5x8s (3 days 9:30am–6:00pm and 2 days 7:30am–4:00pm)
• No weekend shifts required
• Daytime shifts only

Requirements

• Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1–2 years of SLP experience required
• Pediatric outpatient setting experience required
• Experience with Autism, birth defects, developmental delays, and language disorders
• Knowledge of signs and symptoms of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse
• License required if applicable
• 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
• Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Additional Information

• Conduct assessments, evaluations, and reassessments, including SLP evaluation coding for Medicaid and other payers
• Develop and maintain individualized plans of care and complete discharge documentation
• Provide patient and family education as a core component of treatment
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Physical Therapy and support from interpretation services and a unit secretary
