ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital

I have been a travel nurse for over 4 years, and this is by far the worst assignment I’ve ever worked! During my first week, I was told by the manager that the charge nurses on Night Shift tend to target, travel nurses. That means, the travel nurses got the heaviest assignments, and was always maxed out to 5 to 6 patients each shift. They made us first to discharge and first to get an admit. There has been numerous times me or other travelers were maxed to 5, and their staff had 3. When I complained to the manager and my recruiter, nothing changed and things continued to get worse. It was also racially discriminatory, putting black nurses in situations to take care of patients that were Blatantly racist. The charge nurses are highly incompetent. Manager doesn’t care and talks about their staff with their favorites. Aides work when they want to work. I ended my contract early.
