Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of trauma and stroke experience for a 13-week travel assignment with a unique split schedule across a freestanding ED and main hospital campus.

Details

• Works across two settings: a freestanding ED (Saturdays) and the main hospital CT department (Sundays and Mondays)
• Freestanding ED shifts require the ability to perform both CT and X-ray imaging
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 hours per week
• On-call is required and will be scheduled around the Saturday start day

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT experience with trauma and stroke background required
• Associate's Degree or equivalent required; completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program required
• Current ARRT RT(R)(CT) certification required
• Current BLS certification required (AHA accepted)
• Active state license required — license required if applicable
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include operating CT and radiographic equipment, analyzing body habitus to adjust technical factors, correctly positioning patients, reviewing physician orders, and obtaining clinical data to produce high-quality imaging
• Assists physicians during procedures, including room preparation, supply management, and response to contrast reactions or codes
• Responsible for scheduling and completing exams and entering correct charge codes
• BLS certification must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• CPI certification is mandated for this position
• Candidates must have an active license — no pending licenses will be accepted
