Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of echocardiography experience for a 13-week travel contract at a hospital-based cardiovascular diagnostics department in Boston, MA.

Details

• Hospital-based echocardiography department performing non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic testing
• Procedures include transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), dobutamine stress echocardiography, phono-apexcardiograms, and duplex/ultrasound imaging
• 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week, totaling 40 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of echo experience, including transthoracic and dobutamine stress echocardiography
• Active RDMS certification and BLS required
• MA state license required if applicable
• Knowledge of cardiology, medical terminology, basic physics, biology, and anatomy
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient health information
• Bilingual or multilingual skills beyond English are a plus

Additional Information

• Responsible for performing non-invasive diagnostic tests for cardiovascular diseases in support of quality patient care
• Duties include preliminary echocardiographic measurements, summarizing diagnostic data, and communicating findings to the manager or requesting physician
• 2 professional references required for consideration — at least one must be from a manager-level or above (not a supervisor), and one must include a performance evaluation completed within the last 12 months; the second reference may be within 3 years
• At least one reference is preferred from a prior travel or temporary assignment; references from other travelers are not accepted
