Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week Home Health assignment in the Fredericksburg, VA area, with a minimum of 1 year of home health or homecare experience required.
Details
- Home health setting with a primarily field-based caseload; 1-2 patients per week may be seen in-clinic on a scheduled basis
- Service territory is primarily in the Fredericksburg area, with 1-2 days per week in the Falls Church area — details to be discussed during interview
- Patient population is adults 18+ with a variety of home health diagnoses
- Average caseload of 4-6 patients per day, with a minimum of 24-30 visits per week
- Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- No on-call or required weekend work; weekend availability is optional with advance notice
- Charting is completed on a facility-provided tablet using Kinnser/WellSky; all charting must be completed on-site and cannot be taken home
- Free residential parking available
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in home health or homecare required; acute care background is a plus
- Valid state PT license required; pending licenses are not accepted
- Current BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- No adverse findings on license history
- OASIS experience preferred but not required
- Flu vaccination required; COVID vaccination declination is accepted
- Must be a self-starter with strong communication, time management, and charting completion skills
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
- All requested time off must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; no additional RTO requests will be accepted after an offer is made
- Compliance documentation must be completed before the clinician can begin seeing patients, which may take 2-3 weeks
- Business casual dress code required; closed-toe shoes must be worn
- Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate from first patient to last patient (excludes travel to and from home)
- The facility values clinicians who are patient-focused, punctual, communicative, and proactive
