Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position requiring an active NJ or Compact RN license, ACLS, and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- Interventional Radiology unit within a hospital setting
- Primary focus on IV access, including insertion and management of IVs, midlines, and PICCs
- Pre/post-procedure care responsibilities
- Charting in Epic (required)
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Floating required within skillset; patient ratios vary based on census and acuity
Requirements
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Competency in IV insertion, midline, and PICC placement required
- Procedural sedation monitoring experience required
- Two current professional references required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include inserting and managing IVs, midlines, and PICCs; monitoring for complications; maintaining sterile technique and TIME OUT compliance; ensuring emergency equipment readiness; reviewing post-PICC chest x-rays per policy; and educating patients and families
- Preferred skills include antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration, reversal agents, thrombolytics, cardioversion, and scrub/circulate procedures
- Local candidates are accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former RWJBH employees (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
- RTO requests made after an offer will not be accommodated; candidates are expected to adhere to their agreed-upon schedule
- Candidates with fewer than 7 days of RTO and no holiday time off requests will be prioritized
- Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays during the contract
- This position is expected to serve as the traveler's primary work schedule for the duration of the contract
