Description

American Traveler is seeking an inpatient Respiratory Therapist with 5+ years of Level 1 trauma experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week night shift contract in Boston, MA.

Details

• Inpatient Respiratory Therapy position at a Level 1 trauma facility in Boston, MA
• Experience required in both MICU and SICU critical care settings
• Preferred experience with Level III NICU
• Preferred equipment experience includes Drager XL and V500 ventilators
• Epic EMR experience required
• 12-hour PM/night shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Candidates residing within 30 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

Requirements

• Active MA Respiratory Care license (license required if applicable)
• RRT certification required
• NPS and/or ACCS certifications preferred
• BLS required
• Minimum 5 years of recent experience in a Level 1 trauma facility
• Recent critical care experience in both MICU and SICU required
• Familiarity with lung protective ventilation strategies required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references required — at least one must be from a manager-level or above (not a supervisor), including a performance evaluation; one reference must be within the last 12 months and the other within 3 years

• Participate as a member of the Code Blue team
• Make independent ventilator decisions based on patient assessment and laboratory results
• References cannot be provided by another traveler
• One reference is preferred from a prior temporary or travel assignment
