Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist (X-Ray Tech) for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in Clyde, NC, requiring at least 1 year of experience and active ARRT registration.

Details

• Diagnostic Radiology department at a 154-bed acute care hospital
• Facility specialties include orthopedics, spine services, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, ED, and behavioral health
• Joint Commission Accredited Chest Pain Center
• Day shift, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of X-Ray experience
• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program
• Active ARRT registration or registry eligibility required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time

Additional Information

• Orientation is held bi-weekly
• Performs radiologic imaging studies as prescribed by the physician
• Collects and reviews pertinent medical, historical, and medication information prior to performing studies
• Monitors and communicates patient condition as appropriate
• Responsibilities may include stress lab duties such as exercise, pharmaceutical, and echo stress testing
• Assists with computerized charting and EMR systems including MUSE and Paragon
• Supports department quality improvement activities and process facilitation
• Located in Clyde, NC, approximately 20 miles from Asheville and near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park
