Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a GI/Endoscopy position in Louisville, KY, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Details

• Full-time day shift position in a hospital Endoscopy department
• Unit features ten treatment rooms, 30 pre/post-operative procedure rooms, and a dedicated ERCP room
• Provides both inpatient and outpatient endoscopy services
• Common procedures include EGD, bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and ERCP
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour day shifts, 5 days per week
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RN license in Kentucky or a compact state currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety measures
• DOB (MM/DD) and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, patient and family education, and facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge processes
• RN practices using evidence-based nursing, critical thinking, and the full nursing process
• Delegates tasks appropriately and monitors care provided by team members
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction
• Holistic, patient- and family-centered care philosophy emphasized throughout the unit
