Description

American Traveler is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for a Diagnostic Radiology position at an academic medical center, requiring ARRT certification and hands-on experience with fluoroscopy and portable x-ray.

Details

• Diagnostic Radiology department within an academic health system
• 3x12 hour day shifts per week, Monday through Friday
• Shift options include 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
• 36 hours per week, no on-call required
• No weekend requirements
• Fluoroscopy and portable x-ray experience required
• Uses PACS, RIS, HIS, CIS, and SMS systems

Requirements

• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) with active registry status and current continuing education requirements
• BLS (Healthcare Provider) certification required
• Accredited Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program
• Experience with fluoroscopy and portable x-ray required
• Proficiency with PACS and RIS systems
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Perform general diagnostic radiographic examinations following departmental protocols and policies
• Verify patient identity, collect patient history, confirm pregnancy status prior to administering ionizing radiation, and assess patient physical condition before each examination
• Critique, orient, and save images; perform QC and transmit completed studies to PACS; document procedure completion and cancellations in RIS
• Maintain image management equipment and report any equipment issues to appropriate resources
• React appropriately to emergency situations and ensure patient safety throughout all procedures
• Holiday coverage may be required in alignment with facility holiday schedule
