Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro ICU position at a hospital in Burlington, MA, requiring neuro experience, MA licensure, and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NCCU) within a hospital setting specializing in advanced neuro and stroke care
- Unit consists of approximately 18 beds total: ~9 high-acuity neuro ICU beds and ~9 neuro progressive/step-down beds
- Patient population includes stroke (ischemic and hemorrhagic), brain hemorrhage and aneurysm, TBI, spinal cord injury, post-neurosurgery, status epilepticus, and complex neurovascular conditions
- Multidisciplinary team environment including neurology, neurosurgery, critical care, nursing, and rehabilitation
- 12-hour rotating day/night shifts, 36 hours per week
- Floating to the step-down unit required as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active MA RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Neuro ICU experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Provides critical care nursing to high-acuity neurological patients in a dedicated NCCU
- A pass/fail competency test is required on Day 1 of onboarding, with 2 attempts allowed
- COVID vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions accepted)
- All previous employees of any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility (travel, permanent, or per diem) must have a minimum 6-month break before being considered
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
