Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a CVICU Float position requiring 2+ years of experience and ECMO, LVAD, or Cath Lab recovery capability, working night shifts at a hospital in Asheville, NC.

Details

• Position is based in a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) at an acute care hospital in Asheville, NC
• Float coverage includes CVICU, cardiac step-down/progressive care (4-Heart), and Cath Lab recovery
• Patient population includes complex cardiovascular cases requiring ECMO, LVAD, and Cath Lab recovery management
• Night shift schedule: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for CVICU RNs
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or equivalent cardiovascular critical care experience
• Experience with ECMO, LVAD, and/or Cath Lab recovery required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (candidates from Florida or Missouri must provide two references)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Orientation consists of a 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour on-unit shift
• RNs are required to wear all navy, all white, or a combination of navy and white scrubs
• Tobacco use is strictly prohibited on all campus properties, including personal vehicles in campus parking
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
