Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience in IR scrub/circulate and neurointerventional radiology for a 13-week assignment in Asheville, NC.
Details
- Interventional Radiology department located on floor K2 of the K Tower building
- Department includes 2 single-plane GE rooms and 2 biplane Philips rooms, plus one invasive CT scanner
- Day shift staffing is 2 techs per room and 1 nurse per room; night shift has 1 tech and 1 RN onsite
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Procedures include dialysis work (permcaths, fistulagrams), neph tubes, arteriograms/embolizations, Y-90, G-tubes, TIPS, Inari cases, cerebral arteriograms, coilings, pipelines, mechanical thrombectomies, and vertebroplasties
- EMR: Cerner (Radnet)
- Day shift hours: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- On-call schedule includes one secondary call shift per week and every 7th weekend
- May float to the Vascular OR (VOR)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology, including both scrub and circulate roles
- Previous neurointerventional radiology experience (scrub and circulate) required
- Must have at least 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the role
- Active BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- License required if applicable
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (candidates from Florida or Missouri must provide two references)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Vascular OR experience, Cath Lab experience, and VI Registration are preferred qualifications
- Hospital provides scrubs
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
- The facility is a Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center serving as the region's primary referral hub
- The department also supports a robust neurointerventional program, open heart, and interventional cardiology services
