Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift travel contract at a Level II trauma center and Magnet-designated hospital in Asheville, NC, requiring 2+ years of CT imaging experience including ED trauma and stroke imaging.
Details
- CT Scan department (Unit 726) located on the 2nd floor of the A Tower at an 800-bed Magnet-designated Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center
- Procedures include neuro, MSK, body imaging, invasive CT, cardiac imaging, and pediatric imaging
- Equipment includes GE Optima, GE EVO (x3), GE Revolution, and Medrad Injectors
- EMR: Cerner Rad Net and Philips PACS
- Night shift schedule: 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM, Monday through Thursday (4x10-hour shifts)
- Possible weekend shifts and rotation to another shift may be required
- Potential on-call requirement of approximately 12 hours per month
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT imaging experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
- Proficiency in all areas of CT imaging including diagnostic scans and invasive procedures
- Required skills in ED trauma and stroke imaging
- ARRT (R) certification required
- GE equipment experience, invasive CT, cardiac CT, and venipuncture skills preferred
- License required if applicable
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- One professional reference required (two required for candidates from Florida or Missouri)
Additional Information
- Perform a broad range of CT imaging procedures including neuro, MSK, body, invasive, cardiac, and pediatric studies
- Night shift team typically consists of 2–3 technologists and a Rad Assistant
- Ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player who can also work independently
- Black scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
