Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a NY RN license in hand, at least 3 years of OR experience, and proficiency across multiple surgical specialties.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room setting
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (9:00–21:00)
• Candidates must be well-rounded and able to cover all areas and patient diagnoses — single-specialty candidates will not be considered
• Required case experience includes: Bariatrics, Vascular, ENT, Endoscopic Procedures, General Surgery, Gynecology, Neuro, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Plastics, Podiatry, Robotics, and Urology
• Additional required procedural experience includes: Emergency management, Cell Saver, administration of blood products, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, and Universal Protocol (time out)
• Ambulatory OR and General OR setting experience required
• 4 call shifts (24-hour) required per 13-week contract
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Scrub experience preferred

Requirements

• Active NY RN license must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 3 years of OR RN experience required
• Broad, multi-specialty OR experience required — single-specialty backgrounds will not be accepted
• Must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated
• Maximum of 5 RTO days for the duration of the contract
• Candidates who have been employed at any Guthrie facility within the past year are not eligible
• First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 3 or more years of OR experience
