Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Special Procedures unit at a Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital, working 4x10-hour day shifts Thursday through Sunday.
Details
- Level I Trauma, academic teaching hospital with 874 licensed beds, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center designation
- Interventional Radiology - Special Studies unit averaging 25–30 patients per day
- Patient population includes adults and pediatrics from the ED, ICUs, nursing units, and outpatient settings across the full spectrum of radiology exams and diagnoses
- Equipment includes 1 Siemens single-plane, 2 Siemens bi-plane, and 1 Canon bi-plane systems
- EMR: Epic
- 4x10-hour day shifts, Thursday through Sunday, with no rotation between weekdays and weekends
- On-call is required and rotated fairly among full-time, part-time, PRN, and travel staff
- No floating required
- Holiday coverage is expected unless time off is approved in advance
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of IR/Special Procedures experience, with most recent experience within the last year
- Current BLS and ARRT-R certification required
- Active license required, if applicable
- Proficiency in a fast-paced, high-acuity interventional radiology environment
- Epic EMR experience
- 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

- Department is led by a lead tech, modality supervisor, and Imaging Manager, with a diverse team ranging from newer to long-tenured staff
- Orientation includes a facility and departmental tour with introductions, plus up to 5 days of departmental orientation (flexible based on traveler needs)

- Former permanent employees of any AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
- RTO requires manager approval
