Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position in Denver, CO, requiring at least 1 year of acute care Med/Surg experience and an active CO or Compact RN license.

Details

• Float Pool position within a Med/Surg unit (7 North-Spine) at a hospital in Denver, CO
• 18–20 bed unit with a staff of 35, including charge nurses, LPNs, and PCTs
• Patient ratio of 6:1 with LPN support
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2–3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1–3 PCTs; night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1–2 PCTs
• Equipment used includes Hoyer lifts, air mattresses, wound vacs, and PCA pumps
• EMR: Meditech
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CO or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital Med/Surg experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no exceptions
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Performs wound and dressing care on post-op burn and flap patients
• Burn care experience is preferred
• Wound care and ostomy care experience is preferred
• ACLS certification is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Local candidates are not accepted under any circumstances
