Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a Float Pool position requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care Med/Surg experience and BLS certification.

• , 8th floor Main Building unit with 18-20 beds and approximately 35 total staff
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 2-3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1-3 PCTs; night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1-2 PCTs
• Patient ratio of 6:1 with LPN support
• Uses Hoyer lifts, air taps, wound vacs, and PCA equipment
• Charting performed in Meditech EMR
• 13-week assignment with a 7A-7P shift schedule

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital Med/Surg experience required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Burn care experience preferred
• Wound care and ostomy care experience preferred
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

• Perform wound and dressing care for post-op burn and flap patients

• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
