Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift (7P-7A) travel position requiring at least 1 year of acute care Med/Surg experience and a compact or CO RN license.

Details

• Work in the 7 North-Spine Med/Surg unit of a hospital setting
• 18-20 bed unit with approximately 35 staff members
• Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1-2 PCTs
• Patient ratio of 6:1 with LPN support
• Uses equipment including Hoyer lifts, air taps, wound vacs, and PCA pumps
• EMR system is Meditech
• Performs wound and dressing care for post-op burn and flap patients
• 13-week assignment on a 7P-7A night shift schedule

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or CO state license) currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1-year acute care hospital Med/Surg experience required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Burn care experience preferred
• Wound care and ostomy care experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including wound and dressing management for burn and flap surgical patients
• Team-oriented, positive personality fit preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
