Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Step Down position at a Level II Trauma Center hospital, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

• Step Down unit within a 426-bed, short-term acute care hospital that is part of a large health system
• Level II Trauma Center setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating within the department as needed
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Free parking available on site

Requirements

• Active RN license — CT state license or Compact license currently in hand
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• Candidates with prior disciplinary actions on their nursing license will not be considered
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required — declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccination required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved by the facility
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as required by the facility
