Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU acute care experience and Cerner proficiency, with night shift availability and a 50-mile radius requirement.
Details
- 13-week contract at an acute care hospital ICU
- The ICU is a multidisciplinary unit caring for neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients
- Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Technology used includes ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, CRRT, gastric tubes, and IV infusion pumps
- Cerner EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active SC or compact RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- CPI certification required — must be the Crisis Prevention Institute's NCI with Advanced Physical Skills Training course
- Minimum 2 years of ICU acute care experience in a US hospital required
- Cerner EMR experience required
- BSN highly desired
- US Social Security Number required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Additional Information
- Provides a wide range of patient care functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements, with a focus on meeting the needs of patients, families, and the community
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months; at least one reference should be from the most recent employer
- Date of birth required for consideration
- All certifications must be AHA-issued
