Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Aurora, CO, requiring a minimum of 1 year of acute care PCU experience and active CO or compact RN license.

Details

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at a 345-bed, 3-time Magnet-designated hospital
• Large cardiac patient population across telemetry floors and a PCU, with varied acute and chronic medical cases
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on day shift (ratios vary by unit at night)
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• EMR: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
• Floating required to inpatient Med/Tele and Rehab units

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care PCU experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• Prior Meditech experience is preferred
• Chemo certification (ONC) is preferred and would allow scheduling on the Oncology unit
• Day shift staff includes RNs and CNAs on most units
• Ideal candidates demonstrate flexibility, willingness to float, and a team-oriented, compassionate approach
• Float pool of approximately 80 staff members supports a collaborative, team-based environment
