Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in California, requiring a CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience on a night shift schedule.

Details

  • Emergency Department (ED) setting within a hospital
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Weekend rotation required
  • No on-call requirement

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and PALS
  • Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
  • 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration
  • Copies of all certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and accurately document findings
  • Execute clinical procedures including IV placement, Foley catheter insertion, and wound dressings
  • Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition using telemetry, IV, and ventilator equipment
  • Administer medications safely and in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Provide effective patient and family education throughout the care process
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
  • Former employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved per contract
