Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy (Digestive Health) position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, Epic EMR proficiency, and an active IL RN license.
Details
- Digestive Health Center / Endoscopy unit setting
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 4 days per week with 9-hour shifts
- Occasional weekend shift possible (approximately once per 6-week schedule)
- 36 hours per week
- Performs GI/endoscopy procedures including patient prep, IV starts, moderate sedation monitoring, and phase 1 and phase 2 recovery care
- Assists CRNAs during cases requiring anesthesia involvement
- Epic EMR required
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both AHA)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
Additional Information
- Prepares patients for GI procedures, conducts initial assessments, reviews health history, initiates IVs, and provides patient education
- Monitors and sedates patients throughout procedures and manages recovery in both phase 1 and phase 2
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support the care team
- Candidate interviews are conducted by the facility's clinical leadership
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the health system
- No holiday shifts required
