Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR Circulator RN for a 13-week travel contract in Belfast, ME, requiring a minimum of 2 years of OR experience and active call responsibilities.

Details

• Hospital OR setting with 3 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms
• Role is RN Circulator in the OR
• Patient population includes endoscopy, general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, ENT, urology, and ophthalmology
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Monday through Friday schedule, 4 days per week at 9 hours per shift (approximately 6:45 AM – 4:15 PM), with no set daily schedule
• On-call responsibility required, including rotating weekend call (Friday 4:15 PM through Monday 6:45 AM) and rotating holiday call
• May be required to work late on Fridays every 3–4 weeks to complete cases
• No floating within the unit
• Equipment includes Stryker, Storz, and Steris
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active ME RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• 2 professional references required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrub experience preferred but not required
• Hospital-provided blue scrubs
• Airpods, laptops, and personal cell phone use are not permitted on the unit
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this when applying
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (in Maine or New Hampshire) are considered local and may be subject to a different bill rate; local travelers are not eligible for contract renewals or extensions
• Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
• A 25-mile float policy between MaineHealth facilities may apply as needed
